Fire Safety Service, Inc.
Are you prepared for the unexpected?
For 50 years, Fire Safety Service, Inc. has, through regular and innovative training sessions, focused on assisting the Nursing, Assisted Living and Retirement Center Industry with compliance and regulations that require the staff to be ready for Fires and/or Disasters.
What We Do
Fire/Disaster Drills
We conduct Fire & Disaster Drills in your facility according to State and Federal mandated codes.
Every facility must have 12 Fire Drills (one per shift per quarter) a year.
The number of Disaster Drills depends on what State you are in and what your facility is licensed for.
Please consult the codes for your State or give us a call.
Evacuation Drills
Evacuation drills are required in RCFE facilities on a bi monthly basis. (SNF are also choosing to participate in this activity). We teach your staff how to help residents shelter in place, move to another safe area of your facility or outside to a pre arraigned safe area.
Please consult your local and NFPA/International Fire Codes.
Training Drills
Training Drills consist of what your facility needs to work on with your staff or for education purposes for your residents.
For example, if your staff needs further training on your Disaster Plan, we can help you with that.
We also have many calls wanting us to conduct Resident Training and are very happy to help with that.
How We Do It
- Fire Safety Service, Inc. conducts the required Fire, Disaster, and Evacuation Drills along with personalized Training Drills. Our Fire, Disaster & Evacuation Drills follow: International Fire Code, NFPA 1 & 101, and code requirements as outlined by both your State and local governing jurisdictions.
- Depending on the type of facility and the licensing structure, Fire Safety Service, Inc. and its highly trained and experienced Consultants, tailor Fire and Disaster Drills and Educational Training Sessions to meet the needs of your staff so they can be better prepared to handle Fire and/or Disasters should they occur.
- Training Drills are scheduled on request and are designed with input from your executive staff. Generally speaking, they last one hour. However, time and charges are billed with a one hour minimum and then in 15 minute increments.
